That John Frusciante. The lead guitarist for RHCP. I believe he one of the best guitarist out there. He constantly writing new music and he can flat out play.

i lost all respect for RHCP when they stated at woodstock no one should own guns. maybe im the problem though...........i dunno

There is a world of difference between being an old fart and having a trained ear.Music notation and keys are still importnt to some of us.

I have actually taken music courses in college, including a music culture and dialouge class where I made an "A".

I will repeat, people listen to different kinds of music for different reasons. Not everybody cares if the man can sing. Obviously you do, and I respect that. I like the sound the RHCP's produce, and I can tell them apart from any other band.

I would post my opinion on this thread but i think ill pass. However when I'm old enough to have attained enough information on what REAL music is, equal to the elders i will gladly post (with your consent of course)

Maybe belittling your music doesn't bother you, but it could bother other people. And as shown by this thread, it obviously does.

I'm a big 70's guy.  I love Classic Rock and Blues.  I think that SRV may be a god, but I can't prove it.

But, I like SOME of the newer stuff.  Nirvana, Foo Fighters, White Stripes, and for some reason Rammstein.  

I like a wide variety of music.  I've even been known to listen to Marcus Miller for hours.

Declaration: I am sorry for gett5ing involved in this in the first place. I deal with youngsters over 50 hours a week, and when I come here I am sticking with the adults from now on. my mistake, and I will not be tangling or responding with the youngsters here anymore, I need a break. I am more than satisfied to spend my time among the ignorant old %#@$&* Like Long Mike
