Had a great trip to Yosemite :-) (lots of pics)

Featured Replies

I just LOVE Yosemite ! As I said on the photography forum, when it comes to photography, this place makes me feel like I'm cheating.... > Like fishing in a trout hatchery ;-) LOL

Anyway, the weather was awesome ! Warm, but not too hot... partly cloudy (great for photography). Waterfalls were at peak flow for the year ! :-)

Oh but, I didn't even bring a pole. The trout they catch out of the Merced, look about like my Huds.... or maybe smaller ;-) Plus, having AADD like I do, I can't do general photography and fishing at the same time anyway.

Thanks for the pics Chris.  That really brings me back.  I went there last year and did a lot of hiking and photography (I'm not that big into taking pictures, but there is SOOOO much to see, I took a lot of pictures and really got into photography).  Besides Yellowstone National Park, it is by far the prettiest National park i've been to (I've been to 10).  Were you able to stay in the park, or did you drive in each day?  You definately picked the right time to go.  This time of year those waterfalls are really flowing.  Went there once late in the year and Angel Falls was just about dried up.  It is such a pretty place with ALOT to see.  Did you do any hiking?  The fishing is only good if your really into catching wild fish.  Otherwise your right when you say your catching "Hudd" fish lol.  Thanks again for sharing... very cool

Much thanks to all :-) Glad you like them.

Hey Bass-Mike, I was shooting with my Olympus E510, and the two kit lenses... mostly the 14-42mm, but a few with the 40-150mm.

Peace,

Fish

Chris,

Where was the third picture down taken at.  I recognize the rest, but don't know where that one was taken/  Thanks

Thanks again guys.

Hey Branuss, that third shot was taken from "Swinging Bridge" over the Merced River, about mid-way up the valley, looking West.

Peace,

Very nice.  I've been there as well. There are so many fantastic views there it's just amazing. I've always admired Ansel Adam's work and years ago, patterned alot of my black and white after his vision, along with a few other b&w artists.

Amazing pictures! Thanks for sharing.
