d**n I hate that I missed this guy.  His brand of humor fit me to a T.  His work with Jerry Lawler in Memphis was spectacular.  Andy got wrestling and the art of being a heel.

Some part of me thinks he is still alive and roaming lounges as Tony Clifton.  :'(

I just recently watched Man on the Moon.  I never knew of his genius.

ABSOLUTELY: Kaufman and Aykroyd were the two most gifted comedians SNL gave to us to enjoy. I loved Andy's refusal to be politically correct and he submerged into his characters as flawlessly as an actor like Deniro

I wanted to thank you now for getting that REM song stuck in my head all day long now.

the thing i liked about kaufman was that the joke was rarely about what was happening on stage.

the joke was about the audience watching the stage.

Best Elvis impersonator I ever saw.  Also loved his comedy.

Make that three.

Falcon

Yeah he was a great comedian for sure.

Actually just saw a show that had a section on him. It was called "The Tragic Side of Comedy" It was on Bio.\

Also talked about Farley, Pryor, Kinison and Belushi.

Good show. Check it out if you get a chance.

The "mighty mouse" bit always cracked me up.

Never cared for Andy Kaufman, Eddie Murphy gets my nod for the best of SNL.  I'm talking post SNL and stand up, but his movies.

Loved to hear him say

"Thank you very much"

first time I saw him he was doing his Mighty Mouse skit.

I almost fell out of my chair. I guess you had to be as warped as he was to enjoy his sense of humor. :D
