A warp whistle is from SMB 3, yes, but he asked about the whole line, not just the warp whistle part. It's a whole quote from some video that just happens to involve a SMB3 reference.

Muddy is alive and well, I've been in communication with him recently.

I did as well a few weeks back. He is fine.

Muddy's good.  I talk to him on the phone occasionally, and he's been keeping himself busy.  I'd rank the guy in my top 10 of really good people I know.  I heard he's looking to buy some Shimano reels.
