Just got back from the show...AWESOME!

For sci-fi fans, maybe the all-time best.

For everyone, else...totally entertaining!

You HAVE TO see this movie at the theater

in 3-D. It will just blow you away. Fantasia on

steroids!

Havent heard a bad thing about this.  I plan to see it the next couple of days.  Maybe tonight.

I loved the movie. I wish my theater had the non 3D one though. The 3D glasses really hurt my eyes.

Have to say, it was amazing. I think the only way to see it is in 3D. I am definately going to go see it again soon, because it wont be the same on the small screen.

visually stunning.

plot line was kinda ho-hum...i got tired of the "evil corporation" thing back in the 80's with stephan seagall.

Same here. 3D glasses = instant headache for me. Plus, it's not as if they actually make the movies look real, it just makes them look different than the normal movies. I prefer the way the normal movies look.

Someone asked me if I wanted to go see it tomorrow. I'm not much into sci-fi, though. Would I still like it?

Ummm, let me think.  I've never met you and have ZERO clue what you like and dislike but I think you'll like it.  Especially with a cherry coke and snocaps.

Well, I just meant: would the typical person, who doesn't watch much sci-fi like it?

LOL, let's look at like this.  I don't like the rain or trees, so do you think I will like the Rain Forest?

Everyone will find it entertaining. The "evil

corporate greed" is just background noise.

If you want to seek "deeper meaning" there's

that opportunity, too. However, I sat back,

accepted the premise and enjoyed the ride.

I saw AVATAR with two other men and all

three of us gave it two thumbs up. One

comment that kind of sums it up, "I'd like

to go back to that planet, the real world

looks so dull."

Talk about the unanswerable question but I'll try. I'd say you had better save your money and stay home.

That's probably some good advice!

;D ;D ;D

Its nuts, the effort they put into making that movie. i used to be a purest only liking what i grew up with, cartoons that were drawn by hand. but after seeing what it took to make that movie, i changed. such as everyone wearing a camera that recorded their face the entire time so they could computerize actual human facial movements, and wearing the suits with sensors reading the movements of their entire body, blows my mind :o :o

This movie was fantastic.

Although I'm a little uncomfrotable with the fact that I found the blue cat woman weirdly attractive :-/  ;D

My Star Wars and Star Trek geek buddy said it was the BEST movie he has ever seen!  The guy is an admitted geek and coming from him even my wife and I have scheduled a babysitter this week so we can go see it in 3D, now lets see how readily available tickets are.

Dances with Wolves set in 2154.

Other than that, best movie effects wise I have ever seen.

I too, found the 9ft tall half naked indigenous woman surprisingly arousing.

Once you go blue, there's no other Hue...........

Just got back from watching it with wife.  Plot was simple and the political overtones of some liberal writer (s) were cheesy to a fault (think green and friendly religious fanatics), but and its one big BUT.......its the most visually stunning movie ever, I felt a bit overwhelmed at times trying to capture all the visual effects.  Need to watch it in 3D, there is no other way to really appreciate it at its fullest.

Movie was epic. Those bird like banshees were awesome. I want one. ;D And yes, the blue babe was hot, in an alien sort of way. :D

Found this on another site. Watch it free. Although you are truly missing out by not watching it in 3D.

I'm taking my family and the fiance's family this

weekend. I suspect I'll see it a few more times!

The movie stays with me and I suspect it will be

even more enchanting the second time around.

BTW,  I agree, the blue chick is hot!

Merry Christmas!

I really enjoyed the movie and was stunned by the special effects. Avatar is truly a visual masterpiece. As a fan of history, I could not help but notice the parallel to colonialism/imperialism and certain contempoary issues. I would definitely see it again.  :)
