I would send the department head a bill for the laptop.

Man, egotists like that that twerp really hack me off.  Revenge, had it been me, would have been sweet indeed!  Oh, and spare me the "turn the other cheek" bit.  I'm with J-Francho on this one.

I like your style Mike and Francho!

Obviously, but I'd still like set his car on fire.  :D

Yeah it looks like a demo he did on the first day to make a point. I was just saying that if he actually followed through with it then there would be problems.

This was staged guys.

It may have been, but I still want to kick that guy's ***. Maybe it's a personality flaw that I have. Do you think I should see a shrink? :-?

Heck no. Let the butt kicking commence. :)

Setting the car on fire would be too nice

A little target practice would suffice

I was/am the type that would do it (bring a laptop) just to make my point: that he cannot do what he wants and if he does, he will be buying me a new one out of his paycheck.

Plus the car on fire idea works too but thats only after I get the money/replacement laptop...

I've done dog sh-- in hubcaps, Vaseline on windshield wipers, dumping water into a locked car keyhole when it is 5ºF out, jacking up the car and turning the rims inside out, among other things to teachers that bugged the sh-- out of me...

Guess I disagree with you guys. See I'm currently enrolled in classes and I have to hear the incessant tip-tapping of the laptop douchebags everyday.

I'm with this guy. Hand held technology is obnoxious in the class room. Leave your laptops, cell phones and PDAs at home. You WILL live without them. Promise.

The way I see it, it can be used as a replacement for pen and paper, as long as the person using it actually uses it for that purpose... The problem is that too many people today get tied up in the internet and social sites and everything else that they do not hear the teacher.

My laptop has quiet keys, and when I am knee deep in something I stick with it (usually) and try to not get sidetracked. So I am on task and quiet.

if that was my teacher i would have been kicked out of school because the moment he put it in that bin he would have gotten his @ss beat.

Crazy if it was real

Really? In my book that makes you an even bigger jerk than that guy. If I had to guess,I'd say you were just talking out your backside.

Yeah that teacher is kind of a richard, but he's right, keep that crap out of the class room unless it's needed for the class.

lol you never knew me in school... I was on a first name basis with the security guards, principals, councelors and so on... so yes I can be a richard myself :D

I think it was fantastic! I applaud his methods. And no, I (he) would probably never do it for real... but I would boot your *** out of my class if you brought and used one after being asked, in any manner, not to do so.

Good way to make a point with what can be (some) pretty thick skulled, lousy attitude, doesn't apply to me students.

If a teacher did that to me, he'd be in the hospital, and I'd be in jail.
