Hey all, I was curious if anyone would be interested in a rimfire challenge, just about every hunter, shooter has a .22 or .17 rifle. Any rimfire cartridge could be welcomed and we could do something like 4, 5 shot groups. This can be done in the honors system, go to the range and shoot the groups come home scan in the target or take a picture, (each group needs a ruler beside it) Also this would be shot at 25yds i think that is a fair distance, So we can just post the firearm used, the ammunition, sights/optics. So what do you guys all think?

Also if you are interested just say so, so that way i know who is participating and if we need to wait for anyone. I have the target below and you would shoot the 4 outer targets, and the center target is a sight in bulls eye if you choose to use it. just print it out on standard paper.

I will try to do it this weekend when my dad isn't working.

Though I've never got with rimfire, I've done a lot of hunting and benchrest shooting

with centerfire cartridges and pet reloads (222 Rem mag, 243 WCF & 270 WCF).

The goal as usual is one MOA...one ragged hole

that said there is as much luck in that shot as there is skill, especially if that is a .223 in your hands.

It was a very lucky shot lol, and hit it my first shot. I lucked out by having it in my sights right when I pulled up to shoot. I couldn't believe that .223 round was able to reach out and touch that coyote without to much of a lead on it.

Good lord I wish we could hunt with ARs in PA. At least for predator hunting.

We should start a little comp but have diffrent catagory for pistol guys. I don't own a gun that won't shoot sub moa from my marlin 15yn up to my my 20ga slug gun it took a lot of messing around but I like the feeling knowing I can pick up any of my guns and what hair I'm gonna split on what ever furry critter is on the other end.
