Well, as much as I like other species, I 'm really a striper fisherman at heart. My partner and I fish for those big guys below Pickwick Dam from now through September. Some people might question 100 lbs in two hours, but I'd guess ya'll took a 45 minute break for lunch!

Congratulations! Those are some pretty fish.

This was the 3rd day in a row we have been on them. We got started at 6pm, when I got of work, and put the boat on the trailer @ 805pm. Only a 2 min boat ride from the ramp. A lot of people were catching them from the bank also. Every year this time they run up the river to spawn. Here is a few from the day before..

Amazing.  I am with RW - NOTHING like catching big stripers!

East Tennessee. Caught them on 5-7 in live shad pulled behind planer boards, in @ 4-6 ft of water. Where we were is the headwaters of an area lake. The striper run up the river every year to spawn. Along with walleye and white bass. No luck catching them though. The area is usually good for about 3-4 weeks.

cool i wish i had somethin like that in NJ

You have it even better in NJ. When the bunker and shad run up & down the Jersey coast there's no better striper fishing anywhere. The IGFA all tackle world record striper was caught on the Jersey coast in Atlantic city. You are in striper country, you just got to go get em!
