Went down to the two farm ponds again today.  Started out in the bigger one in my boat.  I hoped to get a topwater strike using a unique bait and I did.  Sunny, almost no clouds, high 70s, little wind and a 4 lber hit the Slide Jack at about 11 AM.

Couple of dinks there too and then I went to the walk-around pond and caught a 3 lber off of the KVD spinnerbait.  Worked back to the upper, shallow end at about 2 PM and a 5 lber hit a Chatterbait which was the first nice Bass on a CB in a while.  Couple of more dinks and I headed home at about 3 PM.

Here's another one from today.  Funny thing about that one is I saw the Bass smashing minnows(?) against the shore while I'm about 30' away in my boat.  I know I can't cast that bait that short of a distance so I pitched it :shock: .  She hit immediately but no hookup so I reel it back and pitch it once more and this time I hooked her up 8-) .

Who says you should throw a Senko at a missed topwater bait Bass? =))))

Congrats Dan!! I should start using my topwaters lures.

Been out a couple of times over the last 2 or 3 days and nothing but dinks Avid.  Threw it again today but no takers.  One 2 lber on the KVD spinnerbait and a few dinks on other baits today.  And yes, I consider the SJ a big Bass bait.  It should be at its price. :-?
