I caught this 20.5 inch, 5lber on a X-Rap slashbait.  Its my new PB for '07  This is the first time i have fished suspending jerkbaits in the summer, i usually just use them in late winter/early spring.  Has anyone else been using or having any luck fishing suspending jerkbaits this summer.

I would reel it in fast about 3 turns, then just let it suspend for like 2 or 3 seconds.  I think pretty much all my bites came when it was suspending.  I dont really enjoy fishing them either. i just threw it out there on a random whim, because nothing else was really producing.  

Haven't gotten a bite on a suspending jerkbait in a month or so now but you did a great job!  Beautiful BASS!!!

A few days ago I caught a 23" (spawned out: 2lbs 8oz) pickerel on a X-rap. They are one of the best jerkbaits I've ever used and nicely priced too.
