Smaller Sized Swimbaits

Featured Replies

Hello. I was looking online for smaller sized swimbaits that weight around 1/2oz. I couldn't find what I was looking for, so does anyone know of any?

Any help would be appreciated.  ;)

I don't know of any that small, but it doesn't meant there not out there.  Sebile's Magic swimmer 5" is 3/4 oz.

Fourbizz is going to had this but what about the hollow body tubes with a weighted keel hook.

Spro's BBZ-1 4" Shad swimbait is 3/4 oz if you get the floater.

Matt Lure's 2.5" Matt Shads are .3oz

Matt Lure's 4.5" Matt Shads are 1.2oz (a little heavier)

River2Sea's 3" V-Joint Minnow weighs 3/8oz

It also comes in a waking version:

River2Sea's Live Eye 3" & 4" Bottom Walkers weigh 3/8oz and 5/8oz respectively.

Hopefully these will help!

I have had good luck with the GYCB Swimming Senko and Mattlures Shad.

Probably all of the hollow body swimbaits with a weighted hook will be in that range. The Fathead, Money Minnow, Bass Magic, Basstrix, etc.

Broke down and bought 2 bags of SwimSenkos. Not much action.

Maybe I got duds. Megabait Charlie is right around 1/2 OZ.

Like Wayne P. said, any of the plastic swimbaits, hollow or solid, can be rigged with weight of your choice. Storm makes a bunch of different styles but quality is hit or miss.

You are either rigging it wrong or not fishing it correctly:
