I went out fishing with Nitroman today on a private lake. We arrived at the lake at approximately 6:00 AM, we launched the boat and began fishing topwater. The fish were hitting top water baits just as fast as we could cast them into the water. I started off throwing a Cavitron Buzzbait (chartruese witha red balde and hook) and within the first 15 minutes I hooked my new PB, a nice 6lb 13oz LMB. Man there is nothing like catching a hawg on a topwater bait, she slammed the buzzbait and fought real hard, thank god I got a solid hookset. Nitroman landed a nice 2.5lb LMB later in the morning on the new Strike King 10 inch Anaconda I gave him. By days end we had landed approximately 40 lmbs, what a great day.

Good job dad.  Wish I coulda been there for that one.  Looksl ike you guys had a blast and that is a heck of a pig.  That cavitron is probably my favorite topwater bait since we found that one spot earlier this year in the canoe.  Good job again on landing that monster dad.

Nitro, what days you got off next week?!?!?  Maybe I'll try and finagle my day off based on yours.  I get one day next week since I work Saturday and I haven't chosen it yet.

Next week won't be good for me because I have off wed and thurs but I have a tournament on Wed. night and I usually do not get home until 11-12pm since I live a good 1 1/2 hours from the river so I doubt I will be able to fish then. But if you want to I will do my best to go out on thursday.

Especially since you won't be able to go out much I will go Thursday. I want to get you on some big fish. As your dad will tell you we only got onto one big fish and thats the one he landed. But let's plan on Thursday morning. I will give the owner a call and see what he says. PM to let me know if Thursday will work for you.

That's fantastic rondef!  Topwater makes it better!  I'm glad you posted this too because I have a picture of my PB (no scale)  and I'm holding it the same way you are.  Gives me a great perspective on how big mine is.  Almost as big as that!
