WOW!

That's the "BEST STORY" so far this year.

Man, fantastic pic, too!

8-)

Awesome, simply awesome. Great job on using your gear, even with the right tackle a Musky that size is hard to control. IMHO that is what is so awesome using the gear to control a monster like that, not everyone can do it. Great JOB Jimzee!

Thanks for the kind words guys and gals. I feel like I should let everyone know there is no way I could have landed this fish on my own. Pitchinkid was there the whole time beside of me doing everything he possibly could to ensure that beast didn't get tangled into the motors or anything else. He took a few battle scars on his hands from trying so hard to get her into the boat about a half dozen times.

On the last try, he was finally able to fit his hands in behind her gill plates and with a huge grunt, lifted her aboard. There is no way I would ever been able to do that on my own without harming or even possibly killing that beautiful fish. A huge thank you goes out from me to you buddy, you are a great fishing partner to have. ;)

Not to mention in the final minutes of the tournament, he was still catching fish to cull the smaller ones we had. You da man!!

GAH... You know, you guys told me about it, and I knew it was gonna be a stud, but seeing the pic.... unbelievable.  That is a "perfect' fishing picture.

Congrats on the tournament win, I never really got to talk with you guys.  You and AJ(pitchinkid) really are great sticks, I'm really happy for you two.

 Next up... Stephens!!!

Congrats Jimzee and Pitchinkid.  Thats an awesome fish.

Forget fishing for bass this summer.

We need to go after those.  Soon.  Let me know and I will be on the first Friday bus to WV.

What line were you using at the time for curiousity sake?

  • Super User

I'm not Jimzee, but it was Trilene 100% fluorocarbon 12 lb. test.

Yep, that's what it was.  A good drag system and good line went a long way.

Awesome fish!

Wow with those red fins I first thought that was pithinkid!

Dude that's one huge fish and super congrats on that tourney. It took just one day with you guys to know I was with some awesome fisherman. I take it with all that prize money pitchinkid is going to make you get some carrot sticks or finally upgrade your reels to shimano. ;D
