New PB out of east rochester.

Featured Replies

So I finally broke down and bought a boat. Nothing special, just a 14' canoe. Something I can tool around the local ponds with.

Anyways, I take it out on mendon ponds yesterday and me and a friend caught 3 of the biggest bass we've gotten our hands on so far.

He got the first one, the others were mine.

Anyone got any reccemendations for where / how to fish Mendon Ponds  or Durand Eastman park? they're pretty much what i can get to on the weekends w/o annoying the girl. :)

I got the bass fishing bug at Mendon -over 35 years ago. Those look like summer MP bass as I remeber them -very dark. LOVED that water. Still do.

Yea, I just started fishing this summer and these are the nicest fish we have cought so far. Getting the boat practicaly trippled the fun we were having and I can't wait to try it all over rochester.

Nice colors on those fish. Congrats!

Congratulations, and I suspect you will be sending us pictures of even larger fish soon!

Nice, if you guys ever wanna come out near victor/fairport area and do some canoe fishing, me and my roommate got one and go as much as possible. Some good fishing over this way in some places that aren't all choked out by weeds. Hit me up if your interested. We're always looking for people to go fishing with.

nice looking pics. congrats and keep it up!! i came close to buying a canoe.

Thats a pretty good idea, I keep hearing that victor has some great spots for bass and we were lookin for a chance to go there. What are some good spots to try out first with the canoe?
