For some reason the TVA site is stuck on the 28th. I was out for 3 hours yesterday evening and a 4 lber that came out of 3 ft. of water told me the cold weather didn't bother them at all. I know the lake has came up at least to 357+. T-rigged craws in green pumkin and blackberry have been working great. The bass are starting to relate to wood cover.

YES, my favorite presentation, hold on!

Deb and I went out for a couple of hours today ..... caught several ..... 20 or so ..... lots of small 12 - 13 inch buck bass and a few good ones mixed in.

We have not seen any yellow flower yet ..... CJ says he has, but not where we are. The lake is at 358.25 this evening .... rain forecast for 3 of the next 6 days, so if TVA doesn't open the dam wide open, it should at least hold steady or come on up. we are only 9 inches off full summer pool.

There has been decent fish in shallow water for about a week ..... Deb caught 4+ pounder last week in 2 ft of water and if the lake continues to rise they should be more plentiful.

Send me a PM or get with me at Kenlake if you want some opinions on eliminating some of the water in this big pond.

I still never got an answer...Bassinsergeant and myself will be there Saturday around 12-1pm.  Anybody else gonna be there around that time that can take a couple nonboaters with 'em?

My answer. No.  I have a nine hour drive from Tulsa.  If it's OK with you guys, I would prefer not to leave Tulsa at three AM.  Now you have an answer. ;)

Old guys .... myself included need our beauty sleep ... right Mike !!!

Well I have to leave at 3:00am to make it to the airport, and will be arriving at 5pm :P I'm down for some buzzbaits at dark, I'll be living off redbull.

Right on Greg! Getting up VERY early, and making a nine hour drive, just to be early enough to accommodate a couple of AWOLs who desperately want to go fishing is not on my list of fun things to do.

My agenda for Saturday is a follows:

Get up when I want to.

Make the drive.

Check in.

Unpack.

Prop feet up.

Have a brew or ten.

Just kidding soldiers.   ;D ;D ;D

The yellow flowers are more plentiful and now in the water on the east side, north banks. Barkley however has lots of them on the north end. Greg is correct. I have been catching good fish shallow. The lake rise will cause the fish to move on back. They'll be in the flowers and on the wood. There is grass mostly on the east side, especially on the north sides in about 3-5 ft. of water. The feeder creek channels are a good place to start. Really there will be different patterns that are gonna work well.

I'll be going out one more time before this starts. It will be a couple of days. Hopefully the fish will settle into the new water elevations. Let the lake rise or let em' turn on the water! Either way will make for great fishing!

4 more days!!!  :D

And now the days start dragging by. i was in Ashland KY this morning and i just wanted to keep on going west.

You should have just come on ............

I figured you were kidding Mike, it's all good man.  I wanted to say thanks for taking over for Alpster too...I know it can't be easy.  Man I'm gettin antsy!!! 3 workin days till we roll out!!!!

You should have just come on ............

Lol if i had the camper with me , i might have. I probably have enough cloths in my truck already to make it a week or so. Food might have been a problem. Of cousre i guess i could have ate fish all week long.

Food is no big deal ..... here in Kentucky we'll grill anything that walks, swims, or flies !!!!

Much like WV I suspect!!!!!!!!!   ;D

We are getting some big time rain today! I expect to see elevations above summer pool! The timing could not have been more perfect. Fresh fish in the bushes!

Lake has held steady about 358.25, but with rain today and heavier rains predicted for Thursday it should be up in the bushes like CJ said !!!!

And with this rain we can throw those predictions out the window! I'm showing 358.85 now! It is holding steady but wait till tomorrow when all the run off makes it into the lake!

You guys sure know how to make a guy get anxious! I already had big time cabin fever from the winter and not being able to get out yet so with all this new talk about the fishing being about perfect these last three days are going to be painful lol!

i wish yall would tell me that theres no rain, fishing is going to be poor and nobody is catching anything. I think i could deal better with that than hearing CJ and Ranger talk about fish on bank and in the brush.
