The lake is at 356.33 this morning and predicted to be over 357.2 by Sunday. Plenty of rain predicted for the next 10 days, so it may make full pool or over.

Main lake water temp at daybreak was 57.43 according to the biological station. You'll of course find surface temps over 60 on these warm sunny days.

Looks like the 10 day forecast for Hardin, KY shows temps around 60 and sunny skies on Saturday and Sunday next weekend.

Sure beats the 40 degree weather here right now

Speedbead ...... the good news is .... for the last few weeks, we have beat the predictions by a few degrees each day !!!!

That's what I'm talking 'bout!!!!

Bring on the sunshine

I totally agree, it's been in the high thirties here all this week. Next Saturday can't get here fast enough :(

Need a FAVOR.  If any of you guys are stopping at a bait store I need a 1/2 dozen Chartreuse/White Spinnerbait Skirts.  Will gladly reimburse you and give you what you want for trouble.

Thanks Kelley

Got you covered Kelley. I should have plenty already made up and some panels left if not. You want rubber or silicone?

Mike, are you filling in for the Monday dinner or will it be a "on your own" night? I am sure I could come up with something if need be. Let me know.

Wayne,

That is a very nice offer, but I have Monday night covered.

RW,

I'm not sure if I or Cart ever got back to you, but I would appreciate use of your air matress if you still don't mind.

Matt

Anyone available on a ride to the airport, I'll help for gas money... I have a ride to Kentucky Lake on the 4th. But I need a ride back to the airport in Nashville on the 10th anyone heading that way?

After a week of bass fishing in KY, what makes you think you'll want to go home to snow, ice and cold temperatures?

Here's my tackle list:

t-rigged craws or creatures in black w/ red or blue flake, green pumkin 3/16 oz. sinkers

Bandit 100 series cranks in a chartuese color

1/2 oz. spinnerbaits double willow chartuese and white skirt

jigs in black blue or green pumpkin

shakeyhead worm in a green pumpkin or junebug

flukes in lemon shad or white

Don't forget your Megastrike.

I'm sure there are other baits that will work. Just my opinion. If anything else evolves, I'll let you know.

Wish you would have posted that about a week or so ago.  Now I gotta run to the tackle shop instead of getting it from my enabler.   :(

Just an experimental post on my wifes laptop.  I'll take this down to the lake since they have wifi at the lodge.  It appears her usb jacks aren't working so I won't be able to upload photo's from the camera.   :(

I've got ya covered. I need to leave early on the 10th so I can get back in time to go to work. Oh, and Glenn has room for you in his car so you'll be riding to Ky with him. That will put you there earlier than you would had I picked you up.

Here she is gentlemen ..... starts right here where we are standing and runs 182 miles south !!!

Is anyone excited yet!?!?

6 days!!! :D

I blanked in a tournament today fishing in 42.5 degree water.

I am ready for something a bit closer to 60+.  Come on Kentucky lake...

  • Super User

We got an inch of snow last night.   >:(

Yes, I'm ready.

Lake level at daybreak this morning was right at 357 ......

Mainlake surface temperature was 57 .... should continue to rise this week .... of course temps back in the bays and in the afternoon will be in the 60's.

Just a FYI ......

A minister friend of ours holds Sunday service in a floating chapel on the lake at Southern Komfort Resort. That is pretty close to Kenlake .... He started it up for fishermen, boaters, campers, and bikers ..... non-denominational .... VERY laid back ... in fact he will probably preach in jeans and a t-shirt. You can go by road or by boat .... tie up right to it !! If anyone is interested, send me a PM and I'll give you the info.

Mods ..... I know we try to avoid political and religious posts .... Glenn suggested that I put this on here
