my son connor caught his first bass yesterday. he has reeled in many, but this time he casted, hooked and reeled in his own fish. i had to unhook it for him because he still won't touch them. it was a great moment seeing the joy on his face. he was casting a wacky rigged ace with a gama circle hook. now if i can only get him to last more than 3 hours on my boat.

Sometimes a little change of pace will help with time.I would put a Rapala cd3 on the line and troll back and forth across pond. Those guys would catch a bunch of sunfish, calico bass and perch from one end to the other! Was great for them.

Three hours on the boat is pretty good for a kid that age, especially if he's fishing the whole time.  Cool stuff!  Congratulations, Connor, and Dad too!

Great Job Connor and he looks like he's hooked just like my son is now

Congrats to your son, that is an awesome memory to see your son catch his first bass.  Hopefully the two of you will create many more memories fishing together.
