I foul hooked a carp,and told everyone that I was fishing with to get their cameras and scales ready for me to break the state bass record!When I finally got her in I had a nice sized crowd around me.Everyone was laughing, I was too.At that moment in time I felt like the smallest man ever. :-[ So now I never count my chickens before they hatch.

Hi guys I live in south Florida and I do not have much experience with cold water fishing.I went out yesterday and got skunked. ;D Any tips or suggestions on lure choice would be helpful.I know slow and low, but anything else?One more thing all the mayan cichlids are floating dead and seagulls are everywhere feasting on all the dead fish.Thank you for your time.

Make sure the little pin on that bait dose not fall out! I bought the bigger one and caught one good sized bass and the pin fell out! I may have gotten a defective one. Just to be safe put some super glue on it.

I thought that the San Diego jam or the worlds fair knot was the best?Then the palomar knot.

On the protecting the knot thinking,why not use a plastic bead like some people use when worming to protect the knot?Do any of you guys do this when flipping?

Do you have a dog?The reason I ask is cause you have a kid.I would get an attack dog before a gun with a child in the house that young.Way better deterrent.

PVC tubbing and bubble wrap. Not pretty but it works great.Plano makes a nice rod carrier,I just don't travel that much to justify the cost.

I have a few times.Been lucky so far.

I would re-spool, I hate when i lose a $10-50 crank bait to line failure.You could probably get away with it,I think it is to risky. just my $.02.

I use them on my worms(glass rattle).Im not sure if they help or not?They sure dont hurt.
