WOW! Look at the place! Looks like an amazing place to live! Great looking fish too, when you say hotspot do you mean there are always bass there or is the water warmer than the rest of the lake like a discharge or something?

Thai, it's just a winter hotspot. No discharge or anything like that. Don't ask why, but they are there every winter.

Only ponds freeze over in winter. The water temp. of the larger lakes stays in the high 30's low 40's during winter.

Lakes in higher altitudes do freeze.

I think I recognize the place. Looks like Geneva lake. I was there just yesterday, but no fishing unfortunately  :'(
