Sea Monster caught

Featured Replies

Or a Mudpuppy... We caught this last weekend while out ice fishing on St Clair. It's the first time that I've seen one caught. When I took the hook out it turned towards the hole and used his little legs to crawl over to it. Pretty funny sight to see. Unfortunately it was the only thing we caught all day.

JG, that thing is evil looking. How'd you ever do with your boat motor, hoping you'll make the RoadTrip this year with a little better luck. 8-)

Hi guys... I know it's been awhile. I've been busy getting the online store up and running and working alot. The old boat was sold after that trip. Here is a pic of its upgrade. Too bad there is 10" inches of ice and its all bundled up for the winter. Unfortunately I will not be able to make the trip this year  :'( . I will be working during that time. You will all be missed. For those of you that haven't been on the BR trip then you need to sign up. It's a blast! Good people and good times.

Looks like a sweet ride.  Checked out your on-line store too.  Lookin' good. 8-)

Giant salamander. From what I understand they get much bigger than that!!

Hat thing looks like an x file

Yeah they are pretty abundant when ice fishing in Lake St. Clair, my brother and friend use to catch them a lot.  Awful looking creatures.

We call 'em waterdogs down here. Pretty freaky lookin' characters for sure.

I saw one of those in a Star Trek movie....Khan put one in Chekov's ear...and he went CRAZY!!!

Be careful!!!!!

That is crazy looking.  Nice looknig boat.

We always called them water-dogs or Hell-benders. Supposedly they like really clean water. I chased one for about 20 minutes on a trout stream back home. It was in about 6 foot of water and i thought it was a Brown trout. They get pretty big. Around 3 ft i think.

That's awesome.
