Been on a pretty good roll lately with number of solid bass, not too mention some really nice barracuda.

Tuesday afternoon I hit up my canal, catch a few dinks and a hard hitting 4-5# bass comes way, ok.  Go home have dinner and about 6PM I go back to the canal and not much was going, then at about my last cast I get hit on with a bass that probably was double digits, needless to say I was damned pleased.

Now the fun is just starting, out with my offshore homeboys Wed. morning and only 10 minutes of fishing I hook in a sailfish that nearly spooled me on my Soron 60 and Redbone boat rod, along boatside we release it to be caught another day.  Then a 30# kingfish, smaller king and finally amberjacks, the hardest fighters of all, I go one and lost a few.  This guy has one tired right arm after handling all those fish, but I guarantee  I'll be out again tomorrow.

Pictures of the DD bass? You've definitely been blessed congrats. 

Difficult to do photo justice while shore fishing so I seldom have camera or phone with me, holding a fish at arm's length just doesn't do it.

Offshore when we hook up it's common that everyone is hooking up at the same time so taking pictures its tough, a bit of chaos going on.  I usually have a camera with me but don't even think about taking out until it's too late.

Just because we have members that do catch DD,

that doesn't mean they are common. I read somewhere

that less than 5% of bass fishermen have caught a true

5 lb fish. As I recall, the average "fishing hours" required

is over 100. Your recent catches are remarkable.

Thanks RW......fishing balances out, last 2 outings maybe 6 bass about 8 or 10 inches and strikless in saltwater.
