Magazines

Featured Replies

I'm just getting back into fishing after being away for awhile due to school, job, family, etc. I was wondering if there are any good Bass Fishing Magazines that I can subscribe to other than Bassmaster?

In-Fisherman usually has an interesting slant.

I think if you could find one from your state it will be benifical to you . I live in Texas and like our parks &wildlife publication and Texas Fish & Game

Surprisingly my favorite is INSIDE LINE.  It is NOT an infomercial. Great writers, good tips, product reviews and in-dept  interviews with the pros. A useful and entertaining magazine at a reasonable price.

i have two that i like one is Bassin the other is Advanced Bass strategies

RoadWarrior,

You are correct, Inside Line is a great magazine. Most of the writers are pretty good, but that Bagwell guy gets on my nerves.   ;D

Just kidding, glad you like the magazine.

JT, I thought that was you!  I live in the same little suburb with Mike Whitten and have been trying to get him out with me.  If you ever get down this way, maybe I'll take you and Mike over to the Tennessee River and give you a shot at the next world record smallmouth.  But don't bring any of your tournament winning lures, we don't fish for little fish!

Mike is a really nice guy. Did he ever get that BassCat sold?

Believe me, I would have no objections to leaving my lures (well some of them) at home in order to get a world record smallie.

Don't know 'bout the BassCat, haven't heard from Mike in a while. Regarding "Creating Tournament Winning Lures", fishing the way I would want you to will not improve your tournament skills. We don't go fishing, we go catching! You might catch some nice fish throwing artificials but the monster will probably be caught on a live shiner, especially this time of year.

lol Ok, now I understand the reference.

JT, Looking forward to your new column. For anyone that didn't see the announcement, "Bagwell's Bass Tactics" coming to BassResource January 3, 2005.

Thanks RoadWarrior

Roadwarrior do you belong to any bass clubs in Memphis?

I joined the Memphis Bass Club and fished one, two day tournament.  Had a bad experience and never went back.

JT,

What is INSIDE LINE?  Never heard of it.  Do you have a site to go to to check it out?  So it that Bagwell guy your evil twin TJ?...lol

:) Inside Line is on the Yamamoto baits website

Bassin, In-Fisherman, Bass West, Cabelas Journal

BASS Times.

Bassmaster and FLW magazines worked wonders for me last year. This year the only difference is that I am getting great information from this site also. There are alot of people here that have alot of information to share. I have learned alot and I thank each and every one of you.

Tight lines,

Snag
