xxSANDMANxx Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 I have tons of stuff to make spinnerbaits and other lures with i got from my grandfather. If i make these lures, does anyone know the best way to sell them or has anyone had any luck selling on ebay? Quote
Mike H. Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 I'd make a website. Be sure to offer different weights, skirt colors, blade combo's, etc. And be sure to offer discounts to Bass Resource members Quote
bassinjack Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 e bay is a good way of selling lures but in my openion from experance you really can't make any profits off e bay you can sell off e bay and use the links from your sellers page to devert busness to a websight if you make one. another alturnative is go to some bass turnaments and bass clubs and give a few away with a busness card and also at work give some to the guys that fish. you allways lose alittle before you gain but if people start catching fish off your custom lures they will be back and you will have a start tight linessssssssssssssss Jack Quote
BassnG3 Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Start with ebay and see how the response is. If there is a pretty steady demand then look into a website. Scott Quote
Snag Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 There are a few FREE websites out there at least for starters. I don't have the addresses anymore but I will try to dig them up and post them. You get 5 pages for free. Not too bad to start out on. Later, Snag Quote
NickM Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Go to www.freewebs.com to start a free website. They are pretty good sites and easy to customize and manage. You can put pictures on and everything. -Nick Quote
johnbr19792003 Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 i would ask some local small tackle shops to try selling some for you. i have a friend that make bow targets and thats how he has made his money Quote
Nick_Barr Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 I would agree with all these guys, I know alot about marketing, my mom has been a marketing teacher for 32 years, and make sure you test your product and present every product in a fashionable way, Rapala is so good because they test all their baits. keep tryin Quote
