Jacksonville Fishing
There is good bass fishing on the base itself! How long will you be in Kings Bay?

Lures for....
I agree with the Senko users and also try a frog like a horny toad or rage toad. Fish them with braid and you can fish them all year long. Fish them slow when water is cooler and burn them when water is 70 or more. This is a big fish bait for sure.

screw Gary Y.
I too was fed up with paying $5 a bag for senkos so I started making my own. Like earthworm said I can tailor them to my needs to maximize the effectiveness. If fishing shallow I can make them with less salt to slow the fall rate or more so they fall like a true senko and I add alot of scent to mine. They are an inovative lure and for some reason the fish like them and I usually have one tied on every tourney I fish. Scott

Just an Observation
I also started with a simple Texas rig but now I find myself pitching sweet beavers, senkos or flukes for soft plastics. I throw spinnerbaits alot also. Come to think of it I can't remember the last time I caught a fish on a t-rigged plastic worm. I try to be versatile and not have a go to bait. Scott

Anyone make your own lures?
I make a lot of different soft plastics. Senko type, sweet beaver type, drop shot worms etc. I like to make stuff that you can't buy in the store to give the fish something different. Catching fish on a lure that you made yourself is priceless. Additionally back at the dock pulling out a bait color that no one has seen before is cool ;D Scott

Need Help -- Boat problem
Might be a number of things including a faulty alarm module. Check your oil level watch your temp if you have a temp gage or if you can't find the problem take it in for service. Scott

What to fish when?
I like to throw a fluke in this situation. You can work it fast on the surface or slow it down and work below the surface and even count it down to the bottom. Just let the fish tell you how they want it. Scott

biggest bass
My biggest LM is 10-6 from Stick Marsh. My biggest stringer 21-10 in a night tourny in Florida. I caught some smallies in MN and CT but nothing to brag about. I have also caught some spots but nothing big there either. Scott

Cold water...Losing my mind !
I used to fish in CT in the early spring and I had my best luck with a hair jig tipped with a 101 pork frog fish slooowww on or around wood. I now live in SE Georgia and I don't have that problem any more ;D. Right now most of our fish are in a post spawn pattern. Scott

eating?
It is good to eat small bass from ponds, too many bass in a pond creates too much competition for food. In this months Bassmasters Ray Scott stated that anything 15" or smaller that he catches in his private lake he keeps. Just make sure there is not alot of run off going into the pond that could contaminate the fish. Scott

I need SERIOUS Help!!!
I will second the jig and if the water is dirty a rattling jig in dark colors also I would throw a suspending jerk bait like a gold Rapala Husky Jerk or an Xrap. They rattle and they suspend quite nice. Now is jerkbait primetime!! Scott
