biggest bass

Recommended Posts

My biggest Largemouth was 8.02 and Smallmouth was 6.18. My best stringer in a tournament was 21.9 but the funnest stringer me and my buddies caught was the smallies and 1 largemouth in the picture under the thread Smallmouths that I posted a couple of weeks ago. The 5 biggest fish went just over 20 pounds!

Fishing a tourn. in Charleston SC I caught a 9lb 2oz LM. Funny thing is I had decided to take a break and have a sandwich and a Pepsi. Just to say I was still fishing I cast out a worm and held the rod in one hand while eating. All of a sudden I felt a couple of taps, told my partner I had a hit, got rid of the sandwich and set the hook. At first I thought it must be a big mud fish. But when it came to the surface and shook its head I almost pi$$ed my pants. My partner ended up netting the fish for me for what I still consider to be a great catch. Worst part is I got beat out for big fish by a 10lb 3oz beautiful fish.

My largest was an 8lb 3oz large caught on a craw dad colored crank in february at Carvins Cove here in Roanoke County, Virginia.  Largest smallie was also at Carvins Cove later the same year.  It weighed in at just over 3 lbs.

I live in Minnesota.  My biggest SM was 3 to 4#, and my biggest LM was around 6#.  I just started fishing tournaments last year and my biggest 5 fish stringer was around 7#.  I have'nt figured out the secret to the bigger fish yet.

7.5 on a white spinner bait last year. never been small mouth fishing. 30 minutes after the 7.5 I hung one that might have went 9 on a camo colored brushhog she threw the hook three feet from the boat.  I still shed a tear over that, I guess I weenie armed it.

9 lb. about 3 years ago. I'm itching for that double digit.
Just itching?  Man, I want a double digit so bad you'd think I'd taken a nap in the middle of a patch of poison ivy then mixed the calamine up with itching powder. ;D

I've been serious fishing for over 15 years. I've caught literally THOUSANDS of largemouth bass.

My biggest: 8.5 lbs. : ( and I've caught plenty of them. I just can't break the double digit 10 lb mark for the life of me. However, I only throw artificial lures.  With monster shiners, it probably wouldn't take too long.

My biggest LM is 10-6 from Stick Marsh.  My biggest stringer 21-10 in a night tourny in Florida.  I caught some smallies in MN and CT but nothing to brag about.  I have also caught some spots but nothing big there either.
