Catching bass like a pro, Steve price/Guy Eaker.  When i was picking up fishing again, this book covered the bases for me, ive re-read it many times and seem to get a lot out of it.its a quick read!

When I was a kid,I went to library and found the only book on bass fishing-Modern book of the black bass by Byron Dalrymple.Chock full of info.pretty good for a book published in 1972.

Just finished one of KVD's books.  I just started on his other book. At the moment, I cannot think of the titles.  Although I haven't finished the second one, both seem to be very good books.

 Good Question Glenn--

I have a book that was first published in 1980 by W.W. Norton & Co. Inc. and simultaneously for our friends in Canada by George J.Mcleod Limited Toronto.

Simply titled: BASS  Robert H. Boyle/ Photographs by Elgin Ciampi

"BASS" is a thorough account of the life, times, and ecology of the largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides). The product of years of research, including countless hours spent underwater observing and photographing the species in its natural habitat, this book upon publication became the classic in its field. It is essential reading for fishermen and for anyone else who is interested in natural history or who would like to penetrate the mystery of life beneath the water's surface.

The authors deal with every aspect of the fish, starting with its evolution and following through to the threats offered today by toxic chemicals in aquatic ecosystems." The complete life cycle of the fish, from fertilized egg in the nest to death at the hands of a predatory otter, is not only described but shown in photographs that are among the most remakable ever taken of fish. In one sequence of photo's it shows a large bass chasing a topwater lure... It describes various colors that Mr. Bass is immediately attracted to... :P Makes me think I wanna go fishin... :-*
