Lessee, sell my existing ProV and pickup a used 175hp Vmax mid 90's for around $3500.  New MK Edge 70lb TM. $500.  Finish the front deck extension on the boat $100. 2nd Attwood SAS seat for me the driver $300.  2 new windshields from C&O marine $200. New aluminum modular trailer wheels and Goodyear marathons. $400.  That covers my 5 grand.

Of course, I've got around $1000 from selling my old motor and TM.

Anti-reverse upgrades, ABEC5 bearings and drag washers for my 5 Ambassadeur Ultra Mag and XLT Plus reels - $120.

Penn Roddy 351 spin reel and BPS 7' 2 piece Bionic blade for pier, jetty fishing.  $100

Penn 209M reel and 6' Daiwa boat rod for bottom fishing.  $100.

Weight balancing kits for the rest of my rods - $70

Go through my worm hooks and revamp - $50

New Garmin dash finder with GPS - $500

That's about it.

i would abandon  my 14ft flat bottom and get me a used bass boat i could take on bigger water

Used ranger bass boat w/ nice engine and tm, around 3,500

St Croix Legend w/ a shimano chronarch50mg. 500 bucks

GLoomis GLX w/ shimano curado  about another 500

Insane backstock of my favorite tackle and tons of luckycrafts. that about does it.

Buy a good used boat. Then with the rest in a turniment fishing fund till a started winning Then I'd Quit my job and turn pro and show KVD what real fishing is  ;D.

Any one have $5000 to get me started ::)

fancy electronics for the boat some rods and reels  and  a new trolling motor   and so on and so on :D

Right now I would outfit for ultimate underwater electronic warfare from bow to stern with Lowrance. If it's down there I will see it! If there is anything left over a Shimano Stella FB would be nice.

First a used bass boat. Then some nice rods like g-loomis or st. croix and some new reals like cruadio and that tour editon real by quantum. Then i wouls stock up on some tackle like senkos hooks and some expensive lures i cant afford now like lucky crafts and some others

COULD I BUY GAS FOR MY BOAT? MY 250 MERC EFI HAS QUITE AN APPETITE.

I'd have to say that right now I'd buy all new rods and reels. Mine are worn out!

3 Days of guided trophy bass fishing in Central Florida: $1,500

3 Days of guided trophy bass fishing in El Sato Mexico: $1,500

Airfare, tips, meals, lodging, licenses, etc...$2,000

6 days spent hunting double digit bass: Priceless!

I sure could use a boat.  I have everything else when it comes to lures, rods, reels, line, etc.....  I just want a boat!!!!!!!!!

I would either buy a used bass boat, or put it down on a new one.  If I bought a used boat, I'd use the rest of the money to buy better gear, new rods and reels, a better tackle bag, lots of lures, and the tools to make my own lures such as plastics, cranks, jigs, and spinnerbaits.

sounds good to me! either what Daniel My Brother said, or a used Jon boat with the worx.

The stratos 201XL for sale on the marketplace and fix the seat with the rest

This last year I got a $3,500 tax return and promptly spent it on a jon boat, trailer, battery, battery charger, and trolling motor.  Best d**n tax return I ever spent.  If I had 5K now I would get a gas motor for my lil boat.

I'm with Falcon.  $5000 on fuel for the truck and boat would be great.  That would be lots of on the water time.

at least by me...you will not get much of a boat for $5000...maybe a boat that needs $1000 worth of work...so...

I would put $3000 down on a used boat...that already has a good trolling motor ( so I do not have to buy one...most used boats seem to have too small a TM)

I would spend $400-$500 on two decent graphs...(front and rear..it the boat has graphs already that are worth keeping I would use this money on tackle))

another $400-$500 on some decent reels and decent rods...

I would spend $100 on fram booster air intake system to improve gas mileage and performance of my tow vehicle

and set aside $800-$1000 just in case it ends up the boat needs something...an emergency repair fund as it were...so if something goes wrong I could get it fixed right away and not loose fishing time waiting to get cash together for a repair.

As good of a used bass boat 5 g's would get me. If ya sniff around long enough you can find pretty good deals. ;)

Imagine the retirement fund you would have if you invested that $5K and left it  alone for the next 50 years.

first, i would upgrade my electronics to the best there is console and bow.

second, i would finish upgrading my rods and reels to the set ups i alresdy have.

third, if there is anything left,i would spend it on hi dollar tackle that i wont buy now.

the lord just checked me, first i would tithe 10% $500.00. its all his anyway.

George  ....I don't think i want to be here another 50 .....lol

Definitely upgrade my electronics at helm and bow of boat, maybe upgrade My t-motor,  get a 3 bajk charger and get another  GLoomis  BCR and scorpion mg combo or two ;)
