I AM 13 YEARS OLD I LIVE IN ABURNDALE FL.  I CATCH ABOUT 4 BASS ON BLACK AND SILVER WORMS EVERY TIME I GO . I READ ALOT OF THINGS ABOUT BASS FISHING ON THE COMPUTER BUT THEY DONT HELP.

I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THE PROS CAN CATCH LIKE 50 BASS AND I CAN ONLY CATCH 4.PLEASE HELP MEOUT WITH SOME TIPS

wow...well, you have a pretty complex request.  There are hundreds of ways to catch fish and these hundreds of ways change per season, per weather condition, per water temperature, per lake, etc.  You must be doing something right, because you are catching fish.  Plus, I have seen tournaments where the pros catch nothing after 8 hours of fishing, so all I can say is keep reading, asking, learning, and fishing.  These things will help you catch fish.

I was 13 when I joined this site. I never used to catch much but I learned a whole ton from this site and now I'm catching more bass than ever. Read the "For Beginning Anglers" articles, then check out the 100s and 100s of other ones. The best advice I can give to you is to learn how to fish one lure and then learn a new one. By "learn" I mean really get the hang of it and catch fish. The more lures you learn to use, the more you will be able to use under sertain conditions. The articles on this site will teach you what colors to use where and when, what speed to run it at and pretty much everything else. Combine that knollage with some practice and you will be catching alot of bass in no time.

Don't sweat it, you're catching a few now. More and bigger bass will come with time on the water.

You may not believe this but some folks would be very happy to average 4 bass at a time.

1. are you fishing from shore or a boat

2. How big is the lake you usually fish

3. what are the main features of the lake, for example "it's shallow and weedy" or there are alot of docks, stuff like that will help us give you targeted advice.

its a pretty big lake its weedy and deep but latley the water has gone down there are alot of docks and i like country music

really? man we may have an epidemic on our hands... no more country music while fishing.

;D Dont forget, if you are watching those fishing shows that what they dont tell you is that is a few days worth of fishing cut into a half hour show.

I was their when I was your age.  I just tried to find a lure that wasn't too complicated to fish like a spinnerbait and went out and practiced a lot eventually you get confidence in what you are doing and it all starts to get easier.  Just keep fishing.

Just wanted to say hey to everyone I am new to the site but have heard a lot of great things about it.

You have to also remember that the pros have more experience then probably double your age. Also, if your using any tv fishing host like Bill Dance, or Hank Parker, the fish they catch are usaully durring a 2-3 day period, but makes it look like one outing.
