With ice still on the lakes up north, about all we have to do is plan and prepare for spring. Kind of like a Christmas list, what are we waiting to go on sale, sign up for, fix, mod, spruce up, etc...  

I'm not a tournament fishing person, so I'm not waiting for sign up forms for any events.

I have all the rods I want...reels too.

I am waiting to see if certain lines go on sale. Certain crank baits too.

I am also waiting for the new Daiwa catalog so I can order my reel mod parts.

That's about it for me....

Oh, I forgot that one. My Vantage transom mount grenaded last fall on the last trip out, I have to take that in for repair.

You don't even have to spend money, right now is the time to start the mental process. We have a wealth of wisdom right here at our finger tips; I plan to start using swim baits this year and the first place I'm starting is right here at Bass Fishing Forums. Right now I've compiled 5 pages of information from FishChris, Mattlures, Randall, Fourbizz, Lightingrod and others. I've got comparisons on lines, rods, reels, proper hook sets, lubricants and I've on been at it for 3 days.

I'm waiting for both good weather and a day off to occur on the same day.

I'm waiting for just the right flippin/pitchin stick to come across the forums.  

I'm also patiently waiting for some Daiwa TDA 150P's to show up on Ebay or the forums for decent prices.

I'm waiting for next Wednesday to get here.Then my wife and I are flying to Central Florida for a week. Since I can't fish here, I'm going some place I can. (hoping for a PB largemouth)

I'm also waiting for the BPS Spring Classic, so I can get the few remaining things I need for the up-coming season. And probably a few more.

This afternoon. I'm going to BPS for my birthday.  

 I got a gift certificate from Bass Pro and it's BURNING a hole in my hip pocket !!! Come on Spring Classic!!!

I've used the winter to research, try out, and buy my new rod and reel set-ups for the upcoming season. I plan (right now) to have available two or three spinnng set ups and three, maybe four, baitcasters. The gear bag is packed and ready to go.

I have joined a local bass club to enter the world of "friendly/competitive" fishing, and hope to upgrade my boat before setting out.

The baitmonkey has hit me hard and I don't see that stopping anytime soon. I find myself stopping in BPS,(damm that Robert Kraft!!) Dick's etc. "just to look", yeah right!

If spring does'nt come soon.... :  Oh well!!

You got a good point there. I view learning as a perpetual thing, but weather down time is a real good time to put emphasis on it.

well i just got my new 3 in 1 kvd dvd set its awesome!!! so im just waiting for my new proto paintball gun that cost me an arm and a leg. thats my other hobby. why do i have to have two of the most expensive hobbies? at least thats what my wife asks me. she likes the fishing but not the paintball.
