Noob/Mook question...........

Featured Replies

Hi all! Bass fisherman from Jersey here, love your board you got going here. This is like my second post...........I've been using the term mook for about 12 yrs, I never hear it used anywhere. My 3 boys have many "mook variations" ie "oh he's a mook-job", "mook-bag" etc. I almost died laughing when I saw the m-word all over the place. Think I'm gonna like it here! tight lines all!  :P

Thanks everyone! Yeah, Brooklyn would be the birthplace of mookdom. If I didn't know better Muddy, I'd say that was Monksville (Mooksville if you prefer) Reservoir in Jersey in your sig picture... 8-)

Thats Lake Fork  in Alba Texas. Thinking of going to Greenwood this summer, will PM you if I do. 8-)

Welcome to the forum.  Just for your information, The Duke of Mook "Muddy" has a mild case of Alzheimer's.  He forgets things.  If he starts hounding you for money that you don't owe him, just ignore him.  He does that to everyone.

Welcome aboard!

A "mook" is a term of endearment, that used to be a derogatory term.  Sorta like punching your buddy in the arm after he told a groaner of a joke, and calling him a putz.  A "mook" in kind of a goofy person.

Before I moved up NW Jersey, I lived in a town with a large  Korean population. Seems there's a  Korean company, that makes woman's shoes called MOOK. There was a store on the main drag, that had a big Mook sign in the window..........yeah I know, I'm easily amused

;D
