BIG Gander Mountain sale.

The GM in Palm Beach Gardens , Florida is having a huge sale.  Not that I care because I think the store sucks, but some of you others might.  Rapalas are 50% off and they have hundreds of them.

ALL diving gear is 50%off. GM is doing away with their dive and marine dept, except boats.  They said there are too many dive and marine hardware shops to compete with. They are expanding their camping section though.

They also stopped carrying Luck Craft.

Is this just your GM? or is a nationwide thing

So their prices are now at MSRP rather than 40% over?

Best Xrap deal I saw was at sports authority in Delray Beach back in December.  2 colors xrap #10 for $2.99 in the bargain bin, I bought 20 of them.

Saw the commercial and went to their site.

IMO, no great bargains and not a very good selection.

Checked out the "big sale" last week at my local GM.

Not impressed.

Agree 100%

This week at the GM by the house Berkley plastics are buy 3 bags and get 1 free.  Not bad but the selection is not great to say the least.

I was at the local one yesterday. I didn't notice any thing really fishing related on sale. I did notice that they are carrying more of the cheaper St. Croix rods. But The local gander has more lucky crafts. So I stocked up on them.

Sports Authority has sale, buy two rapals and get one free.

you know I worked at gander for 5 years and they SUCK! I went in today and asked to look at the st.croix mojo and was told they didn't have any. when asked when they were comming in I was told they wouldn't carry them because quote "they are too high end and most people wont buy them." I asked why they had 5 steez rods at $399 he didn't know and when I told him the mojos were only about $90 at cabelas he said he was thinking of a different rod. I said ok and asked where they had the manns wake crankbaits. guy had no idea what i was talking about so I asked for the baby 1- when I finally found them on my own big suprise no wakes. so I left and drove the 10 extra miles to cabelas.

moral of the story having worked at gander I can say first hand they will hire anyone, even me, and they are so focused on what will sell the most that they forget about the guy looking for high end gear not that i am really high end. shop gander if you want zebco reels and banjo minnows.

sorry that was totally off topic :)

I was at gander in Lake Mary last week and they had Strike King Series 1, 3, and 5 for $1.49 each. Color Selection wasn't great but, I bought 2 anyway.

Bassn, Bass Pro is having a much better sale! :)

Went there a few days ago and spent way too much lol. All their XPS lures were 25% off, the BPS brand trick sticks are 3 for $10, RC Lucky Crafts were on sale, etc etc. And I agree, Gander pretty much stinks...

Though, I did get some Lucky Craft lures there a little while ago for 25% off in the bargain bin... I never even knew they carried them in the first place, until I walked by the bin full of em.

Me an' a buddy went to gander on Sunday for bait, our regular shop was closed, we walk in and the greeter guy hands us a couple of scratch off tickets.  Well long story short, I got a free hat, pretty nice, considering the price, and our bait ended up costing us 3 bucks.  So they got that goin for them.  I think their prices are rediculous, but at the Geneva, Il store the fishing guy knew his stuff.
