What did you catch your personal best on?

Featured Replies

Until now I have never owned a scale but my two biggest where about 5lber's. I fish Central and Northern Michigan so they are pretty big for up here.

#1. Middle of the day in the center of a small gravel pit by my house on a Berkly crank bait I don't think they even make them any more...I can't find them any where.

#2 1am in the morning in 8ft of water on a Booya pond magic spinner bait with a Gary Yamamoto TTHG as a trailer.

Memorial Day weekend 2007

5 lb.- 4 oz. LM on a Zoom z-nail.

4" Berkley Power Worm - pumpkin/chart

9.4 lbs on Joe Pool Lake, TX

Baby Brush Hog.  T-Rigged.  Watermelon green as I recall.  9 lbs.

Strike king wild thang july 2005 pitching in lily pads 7lb 1oz.

With all the tons of tackle I have....

I caught my biggest bass on a 1/8 oz. Black Maribou Road Runner while I was fishing for panfish---from shore.  I didn't have a scale on me, but there was no doubt that fish was pushing 7lbs.  And for NY that is a very nice bass.

My Partner got her 9 lber early in the morning on a buzzbait.  I got my 5 lber on a chatterbait.

I don't know but it must have had magical properties because by the time I got the bass to the boat, it had grown to over twice it's original size. ;D

Late august on a weightless yum dinger in shad color. 9 pounds.

mid june. On a flat close to deep water. Berkley Texas rigged 5" sinking minnow. crawling it on the bottom. 26 incher. just shy of 8lbs.

Mine was in a small pond, march, 2000.  For some reason, i didn't right the day in my log. 25 and 1/4 almost 6 on my scale.  7in floating rapala gold w/ black back.  It was in the evening, almost dark.

3/8oz Picasso spinnerbait in May of 2007: 5lbs 12oz.

Strike King 1/2 oz Spinner bait with painted blades. I can count on one hand how many fish I have caught on a spinner bait, one just happens to be my PB. Go figure.

Green pumpkin/green flake Zoom Trick worm T-rigged with a 1/4oz weight. Caught her last April around a dock in 2 fow. She was partially spawned out, and weighed 7lbs 2oz. She was realesed to fight another day! ;D

My PB was 21" & 7lb. Caught in the spring full of eggs.

Caught on 1/2oz Blue/Chrome Rat-L-Trap.

Kind of a bad pic, but the memory is still fresh in my mind!

Largemouth: Approx. 4 pound - Zoom Brush Hog (the biggun) - Watermelon Red

Smallmouth: 5 pounds - Zoom Fat Albert Grub - Watermelon Red

PB Lake Smallmouth was a huge fish caught in a canoe and portage lake in Ontario while trolling a homemade black bomber style plug. It weighed over 10 pounds.

PB River Smallie is the one in my avatar which was a 20 incher caught on a Case Sinking Salty Shad.

PB Largemouth was a 10 pound 7 oz. fish I caught on a buoyant wooly bugger fished on a full sink fly line. It came from a private pond.

God Bless,

Don
