I have a gift for catching snapping turtles. 2 this year. One on a really nice $6 spinnerbait (avatar) and one on a jig.

Other than that, all year long only one bull bluegill and one tiny little crappie.

im with you two snappers and 1 painted this year. both snappers over 2 feet it looked like. one off the 5" senko wacky rigged too!! but other than that this year a bowfin (ragetail frog) and catfish (spinnerbait)

I catch most of the above listed (except musky...wish I could accidentally catch musky).

I also catch quite a few dinks when bass fishing, they are a different species right  ;)

I usually don't know what to expect when bass fishing and go in with that mindset, the real fun is catching bass when you are catfishing...a 2' LMB on a jug at 3 a.m. is always a welcome treat!

To me, Dinks are small, under 12", bass (LM, SM, Spots, Red Eye, other).

so far just Blue gill and Crappie

Peacock Bass, tilapia, oscars and a bunch of unknown cichlids. I occasionally see snook but haven't convinced one yet. :)

striped bass

white bass

yellow bass

crappie

flathead catfish

channel catfish

and when I lived in Florida

chain pickerel

bowfin

gar

I've caught a catfish on a spinnerbait this year, that was the most strange thing for me. Anyone had a cat bite a spinner? I've also caught crappie, bream, water snakes, alligators, and turtles.

The freshwater grand slam.....LMB, peacocks, snook and tarpon. I've yet to hit the slam but have done 2 or 3 out 4 few times.

Peacock Bass, tilapia, oscars and a bunch of unknown cichlids. I occasionally see snook but haven't convinced one yet.

Try the Griffin Rd canal, work west from 441.

An occasional Crappie or Catfish. Once, while fishing a tournament on Watts Bar, I caught a 28 pound Striper on a Rattletrap. I tried to weigh it in... but was shot down right at the scales. I was pretty sure big fish and first place was mine... until the line sider was turned away.

Musky, Pike, Dogfish, Rockbass, Bluegill, Sunfish, Perch, Walleye, Crappie, Shad (snagged), Carp, Soft Shell Turtles (on Golden Roaches), and a couple of USO's (unidentified swimming objects).

Perch bluegill and freaking pike ugh

While fishing the Susky for SM, we often catch:

Walleyes

Pike

Muskie

Common Carp

Sometimes catch:

Fallfish

Rock bass

And every once in a long while I get one of those green slugbass.  ;D

Usually "gators" (which I can't stand and I get them a lot) and rock bass are the most common additions, but have caught perch, 'gills, crappie, carp, walleye and dogfish while bass fishing too.

All depending on the time of year, every once in a while a crappie, gills, white bass, wiper, striper, walleye, big cats, gar.... :o

Tight Lines All!!

Thanks for the tip! I actually went out to a small lake right off of Turnpike & 836 today and caught a very small snook and then hooked and lost an estimated 25lb tarpon! :D It hit a shiner and went airborne twice before it dove under some weeds and cut me off. Also caught some peacocks and a small large mouth. Another angler caught a nice catfish with a shiner. All in all a all a good day, South Florida style! ;D

x6 on Chippewa Lake this morning.....

4 LM that bumped, 3 that didn't, and good old Edwin Scissor-Nose slimed me six times.
