Bass fishing on Nintendo wii: Helps cure cabin fever

Featured Replies

Anyone play Hooked Again on Nintendo wii? Trying to get something going because it is winter here in NJ and my wife bought me a wii and fishing game for Christmas. She got it because you can play online against others.

Tried it and I can't get into it b/c I need to go fishin for real.

I actually got the BPS game for wii and it is awesome!

I bought the wii and and Rapala's fishing game to help me cope with cabin fever.  It's great because you can go after multiple fish species besides bass.  I'm with angler1, I played it for a couple weeks, but my hunger for real fishing still goes unquenched.  Still beats having nothing to do.

i have "master angler" for wii. i think the rapala game is probably better. the bad thing is i got a bunch of lures, a bill dance fishing tips book, and a field and stream fishing book for xmas. i went fishing xmas day for a couple hours, but i was freezing and caught nothing. oh winter time takes forever. :-/

I did a ton of research on the Wii fishing games and ended up buying Rapala Fishing Frenzy. It was pretty good. Still nothing I have found yet beats the InFisherman Freshwater Trophies I got for the PC. That is an awesome game.

i havent played no fishing games for wii besides the zelda twilight princess. i miss my bass landing game i have for ps1. that was one of the best i played. on that one you literally had to fish on that game no shadow fish help like on fisherman bait.  i was thinking bout the bps strike but the reviews aint all good. i did though tried big game hunter for wii with the gun that was fun.

My wife bought me the Rapala game and I played it for the first few nights. I just can't get into it, my kids play it and love it though.

I'm going to pick up one of the Rapala games for 360 to help hold me over, although nothing cures the crave for real fishing.

I also got the wii game for the kids for xmas and will be looking to get a fishing game for it. might go to game stop and see if they got used ones.

can't fish up here its 13 deg. and 6" of snow on the ground

I noticed that Xbox 360 has a game out with a reel controller, thinking about buying it, but I'm probably just going to wait it out. I just don't think fishing video games are no where near as close as the real thing.
