I really appreciate the answers I got to my " deep weed" question and the info on spinning reels.

I've been chasing bass over 50 years now.  When I started there was nothing like the information availabe today not the equipment.  The trade off is that there was less pressure on the bass.  Fifty years ago you learned from older fisherman or from articles in the "Big 3."  Only Sports Afield ahd an editor that focused mainly on bass.

You can find everything I know from 50 years of bass fishing on this board and tehn xome.

I agree!  I have been a member here for a couple years now and have learned a lot from all the members here.  Hopefully I have learned enough to contribute to others as well.  This site is a great resource for newbies and old timers alike...

There's a great trout stream in Tyrone and there used to be an Italian restaurant that I loved. 

I agree with everthing that has been said also, But this site has become very costly to my wallet. I have upgraded alot of my equipment since joining this site, nobody warned me about the bait monkey (lol)

Glenn has really pulled a great deal of information together which makes the articles section of this site second to none.  And the manner in which he runs the site, plus the evenhanded moderating, minimizes conflict, which is quite a feat considering the size of the membership.  Nothing is perfect, but this site is as good as it gets in my opinion.
