all the above.

Over the years, I've had a lot more great fishing days in the fall than any other time.

When I go out, pitch out a jig and it bounces off the water, I know it's too late in the year.

With the weather we have had lately I am going to say October.

The entire fall season.  As already stated, many, many guys have left the lake to watch football on TV or go hunting.  Far fewer people, beautiful fall colors and that crisp morning air with cool daytime temps make it my favorite time of the year.

Oh, and you can catch some decent fish then too.

What he said^

Fall, with the cooler temperatures and lower humidity is my favorite time of the year to be outdoors. Couple that with less fishing pressure and hungry bass and I'm in hog heaven.

I prefer late fall. My best fishing of the year often comes in mid to late October when the water temps are in the 45-50 range. In these conditions, sometimes the best fishing is on pretty nasty days when you normally wouldn't expect a great bite, i.e. air temp in the mid-40s, cloudy, cold mist with threat of rain. My best ever largemouth fishing was during a week in Oct that had stable weather like that.

anytime im out on the water is a good time to fish...

When the surface temps fall into the 50 degree range.

What is the most productive time of the day in the fall? Morning, Noon, Afternoon, Evening or Night?

My buddy caught what would likely have been a state record for New Jersey (estimated at well over 10 lbs) last October fishing during a Nor'easter. (If you're curious, it was on one of *** 4" Disc Tubes) I know another guy who got his pb in December a few years back. Late season fishing rocks

Cart7 nailed it. Fewer people on the water, fewer bugs, not being baked to death, all the colors...

favorite time..? when breathing. :-/

2X for me if I'm vertical I'd like to be fishin.

Mid-day usually, after the water temp rises a bit it seems to give the fish a boost.  There are often aggressive fish in the shallows that will chase a lure.  I tend to go out earlier in the afternoon, and rarely fish until dark during the fall.  The low light periods in fall are rarely are as good as they are in the summer.

My favorite time to fish during the year is Fall, but I perfer to go out in early to middle October.  My favorite time to go out is the morning time because there is usually going to be a good topwater bite going on that time in my neck of the woods.

Ghoti I don't know about you but I just might have to call that skipping   ;D
