Hey guys! Let me start by saying that I am impressed on what I've read so far. An actual forum site without the bashing that I've seen on most and surprisingly enough people actually helping each other! Any way here's a bit about me and a few short questions at the end...

I've been fishing since I was about 5 yrs old but only seriously wanting to fish for the past few years or so. Actualy it kinda started as way to take a break from it all and grew more nad more into something I actually looked forward to. I usually use my trusty Ultralight Ugly Stick and some 6lb test / 2lb dia. Fireline and various fake worms and some floating lures. But mostly just plain old Nightcrawlers and a bobber seems to work best around here. I've just never had much luck with anything else. I've got a tackle box filled with all sorts of stuff and I hardly touch it. Anyway is anyone from the Hyde Park, NY area or just the Mid Hudson region ingeneral? What seems to work for you guys around here? I'm game to try just about any type of bait.... I've recently been taking my 11 yr. old along and she just bought her 1st fishing pole with her allowance.. needless to say that came as a surprise when she asked me to take her to the store to get her own pole... apparently she enjoys going. Well any suggestions on mostly pond or stream type fishing would be appreciated.....

    I'm not from the NY area, but there are plenty of guys here who are.  I'm sure they'll be more than willing to answer your questions.  You may want to try posting them in the NE forum just to be sure.
