Hello from Missouri!

Featured Replies

Hey everybody! My Name is Brent. I'm originally from Kansas City, MO, but I am currently going to school in Springfield, MO majoring in Wildlife Management and Conservation. I'm fairly new to bass fishing and I really started fishing specifically for bass about 2 years ago. I currently do not own a boat, but hope to have atleast a jon boat by this summer. College tends to suck the money right out of your bank account, so money that I can put towards my obsession is kind of tight. Right now I currently own 2 descent bait casting set ups... :-[. Sad right? I love to fish any oppertunity I can get, but I'm mainly have been hopping around to different small lakes with friends. I'd love to start fishing tournaments some day, but right now I'm just looking to improve and learn as much as I can. It looks like a good community of guys on this forum, so I hope to stick around and learn from all of you.

Welcome aboard, Brent!

Welcome Brent.

When the weather warms up a bit I can tell you about some great places to catch Smallmouth nearby - so you won't be stuck fishing Fellows or Lake Springfield.

Welcome!

There is nothing wrong with fishing the north side of Lake Springfield any time of the year.  I used to do that a lot when my in laws lived by the lake.
