I know this is wierd, but i love the smell of Powerbait plastics. I wish I could get it in an incense. Anybody else like that smell or other attractants?

Me too!

You guys should smell the early morning wind drift on the Brooklyn peirs that floats over from Jersey City>> it smells like 3 day old>> stuck on a rock>> POWER BAIT

Ya know, this should be included in the "what kind of fisherman are you" or "How badly are you affected" thread.

Its a smell only a true Fisherman could enjoy. Just don't huff it...

I have taken several sniffs of Berkley Powerbaits and the odor is nonexistant compared to Chompers and Gambler baits.

Remember it's ok to sniff, just don't inhale.  ;D

Im a fan of the real nastyyyyyyyyyyy stuff, i like taking a sniff of the bang attractant and fantisizing about all them smallies bashing the baits lazed with that stuff  ;D

Pure Anise Oil

I could wear as cologne

I remember a friend giving me a container of processed fermented shad one time, and I thought "Hey, I'll bet this would work great for a scent!."

So I take it to the lake on a nice sizzling August afternoon and fish for awhile.   Remembering that I had a wonderful new scent to use, I grabbed the lid and started to turn.......

SPLOP!!!!!

Pressure + fermented shad + 100 degrees = an odor so heinous and foul that every dog within 50 miles cried out for mercy.  It was HORRIBLE  and I was COVERED in it!

Soooooo, I'm not much into stinky scents anymore.   ;)

A friend of mine e-mailed me a "YOU KNOW YOU'RE A FISHERMAN IF" list a while back, and one of the answers was:

"You know you are a fisherman if you have a power worm hanging from your car mirror for an air freshener"

Thanks, Rick, I just spilled my  coffee.

Cheers,

When the waters here started getting hard earlier this winter I organized my tackle to ease the boredom, and my biggest project was gathering up all my randomly stashed bags of plastics and organizing them into plastic storage boxes by brand.  I put all the powerbaits, and chompers in one box not considering the consequences.  I opened that bad boy up this weekend and nearly floored myself.

I love the smell of powerbait, but not gulp.

If they made powerbait flavored Doritos, I'd probably try them.   8-)

Ive tried to get my fiance' to spray B.A.N.G. Garlic on herself instead of her normal Victoria Secret Scents but I have not had any success yet.

Powerbait is fine, but Gulp I can do without.

The Gambler Ugly Otter is as low as I go  ;D
