Featured Replies

So now that i bought out my Sportsman Warehouse from Rage Tail craws because of all the love they get around here i need your opinions on favorite color, other than Blk/bluflk.. and your favorite way to use them.. Just looking for advice bc i've never used them and now have 15 pakcs at $2.20 a pack, in multiple colors. :D :D

i realize you texas rig em or some people throw them on a jig but just looking for advice from people who have had success.. and what colors you had more success on.

Thanks

Junebug and dirty craw are great colors for me

Boaters World has the Rage Tail Baits on sale for $2.49 a pack. This is due to the fact that all Boaters World stores are cloing in June. I bought 41 packs yesterday and I will buy more when they reduce the price again in two weeks.

How many packs did they have left? I'd run up there but I'm stuck at VT another 2 weeks. Looks like I'll have to assign an errand to my dad :D

At least 200 more packs were left on the shelf yesterday.  I like using the green pumkin, watermelon and junebug here in northern va.

The one BW by me, just a few miles away, is going out of business. Blowing everything out, like 50-75%. It's nuts.

yea mine is too. just no rage baits!!! i did get a great deal on a pair of costa del mar glasses...

Boaters World in Woodbridge, VA has about 200 packs of Rage Tail baits left.  They will also be reducing prices on them again in a week or two.  My guess is that they will be $1.25 a pack within 2 weeks from talking to the folks that run the store.

Thanks for the heads up. I just picked up 20 packs or so for 2.75!!! I also snagged a few packs of various paddle tail swimbaits for less than $5 a pack. cant go wrong with that. Thanks again.

Getting back to the original question, I have enjoyed good success on river Smallies using the Rage Tail Craw on a weighted keeper hook.  Black/Blue has been the best in dirty water, watermelon/red has been very good in clear water during the warmer months and green pumkin has been good in clear water during the cooler months.  I also loaded up on these at our Sportsman's Warehouse closeout, shouldn't have to buy any craws for quite a while.   :D
