Weight of this smallie?

Featured Replies

Well if you're 190, that fish looks like it's about 1/10 your size, so I'd say 19 lbs  ;D

Beautiful fish there. If I had to guess, I'd say 4.75-5.25. Was that in CT?

I'd say 4.75-5.25

That sounds about right to me

She is a good looking fish ;)

I think that fat belly might push her to 5lbs or a little better.

Maybe the tail is just turned a bit in the photograph, but the

width looks like that of a smaller fish. Most 5+ smallmouth

have what appears to be a disproportionally large tail fin.

Nice fish, great pic!

I don't recognise that tree in the backround, so I won't be fishing there.

Great Great smallie for N.E.

5.5lbs

Nice Toggs

Nice Fish.  Somewhere in the 5 Ib range sounds about right.

Is that your 6.4 or was it 6.6? What a cocker!

Very nice fish!

Are you going to share with us what the weight was?

That one weighed 4-8.  She was extremely fat.  Just trying to show that it takes a lot of smallmouth to reach 4 1/2 pounds.

Great thread!

5s are special, but your fish is a beauty.

8-)

man... wow that fish is a fat one....

The camera distance and angle can be deceptive to the untrained eye- this one I caught in august weighed 5.62 on a cull-em rite the pic does it no justice IMO.

I can tell that one is over 5. Its thicker (taller) from head to tail than that 4.5. Both are good'uns though!
