I have never seen this kind of bug before before, but we have a lot of them in our yard this year. I live in Central Florida and we started seeing them about 1 month ago.

Wheel bug, and yes they bite. I think they are very similar to the assasin bug, nasty looking things.

Thanks Guys definitely looks like a wheel bug. I haven't seen them before but I have lived in central florida for almost 30 years. I wonder if they are new to the area.
