Really? I think that would be a nice vacation, but I wouldn't want to live there.

I wouldn't mind a cabin on Lake Champlain or perhaps one of the Adirondack lakes like Long Lake.

Or maybe that one house on Little Tupper Lake in the Adirondacks. It's a 5 mile long and 1 mile wide lake with great bassin' and it's all protected wilderness except for one beautiful property that is privately owned with a gorgeous house and boat house. Only paddles and electric motors allowed. Yeah, I can go for that.

I could think of scores of places without much thought but what comes to my mind is a home on the ocean in Manalpan, Fl. Just a walk across A1A from my front door is the intracoastal where a boat can be docked (can't dock them in the ocean there)and it's just a few minutes to the inlet leading out to the ocean. I would have the beauty of both the ocean and intracoastal plus I could fish both areas as well.

We lived on a very nice lake when I was a lot younger and it was great. But now with my boat on a traler and a heated garage to keep it in I don't want to live on a lake. I can get to 5 or six different water bodies in 30 minutes or much less. The boat is dry, the equipment is safe 24/7 and I can do maintainance in the winter. This beats living on a lake.

I live on a small private lake right now and honestly you'd be hard pressed to make me any happier. I'm the only person that actively fishes the lake. Plenty of largemouth and peacocks roaming around. I can motor around the entire lake in my jon boat in a couple of hours. If I were to get something lakefront from a fishing standpoint only....Okeechobee would be very high on my list, or something on the Harris Chain. It would be very hard for me to leave Florida.

lol on a second thought, maybe in front of a residential private lake in south florida where they have peacock bass, cichlids, lmb all on my doorstep!

Columbia River. I love that area of the country.

Used to live on Lake Ray Hubbard in TX had my own boat ramp, the whole nine yards. I loved that house and running crankbaits in my pool. I'd say give me my old house back! lol

But if it's some place new, I'd say Table Rock.

It would be hard to beat this place. Wish I had a few extra mil sitting around.

I already own one, a home I bought in 93 on the north shore of Lake Okeechobee. I actually have to lock through to get into the lake, but I'm 2 minutes from the boat ramp on the Kissimmee River as well.

Id love a place in the Keys, or the Gulf, or on Lake Champlain but until I win the lotto I'm going to have to settle for this.

I grew up on Port Bay, Lake Ontario....I'd like that back in heartbeat.

I like Lake of the Ozarks too, so I have decided to buy a place there this year. Prices are pretty darn good too. I'll have to invite some of you guys down who have about the same number of bad habits as I have.

Somewhere between Hood River and The Dalles on the Columbia. The Columbia River Gorge is an amazing region and the smallmouth fishing can be special. Obviously it would be on the Washington side. The state of Oregon's rules and regs on building anywhere in the Gorge rule out the idea altogether.

Lake Minnetonka. Good fishing right in the Twin Cities.

Rio N egro off the Amazon. Would have to have a heli-pad though, so I could be flown in on a whim when I needed a peacock fix.

Hawaii. I would probably give up bass fishing to have my own little secluded beach hut in Hawaii.
