Was wondering what everyone's favorite monofilament lines to use were and why.

Stren Original, because it's what I've always used!

Trilene XL, Trilene XT, Trilene Big Game.

trilene XT, but getting away from mono into braid. still feel better with mono on the topwater.

FWIW I'm happy with it too.

Sufix Seige and Sufix Elite.

Line size / type pending application.

Sufix Siege is great, never tried Elite.

The elite is great for open water to light cover cranking and spinnerbaits/chatterbaits.

Trilene XT, all I ever really used and never had a problem with it, so I stick with it.

Sufix Siege of course; 10-12 lb test for casting reels, 6 lb test for spinning.

The Sufix Elite is okay, but a bit too stretchy for my liking.

Trilene XL is a very distant third.

Another one for Suffix here! I like Elite for spinning gear.

I use Trilene XT, 17 pound test on my channel cat rig Bait cast rig.

Trilene XL in 6, 8, 10, and 12 pound test on various spinning and baitcast reels BUT, I have started to switch to Stren original because it seems to stay supple and not get hard and "coily" as soon as XL here in the desert heat.

I have 1 baitcaster spooled with Trilene Big Game I believe 14lb test which I use for larger cranks and spinnerbaits. The stretch in the mono halps absorb the impact of the strike and there is less chance of ripping the bait out of the fishes mouth. I used to use Cajun Red but it has alot more memory than Big Game.

sufix siege

if i had to go back to mono , it would be siege.

Suffix Siege is good stuff but I really like Izorline

Personally, I love Trilene XT, preferably in the Clear color.

Used to be Trilene XL until I used Suffix Seige!
