Featured Replies

Hi there. Just wanted to say thanks for a great looking and informative website. I have recently gotten back into fishing after years away, thanks to my son's (avatar picture) sudden interest in fishing. He caught the first fish of his life the other day (6" sunfish), and we have been out for at least an hour everyday since. It is great to be back to fishing after all these years away. Looking forward to getting to know you guys/girls, and learning all the tips/tricks again!

Thanks.

Mike

Hi and welcome

Hi, I'm in a similar situation with my son. But he seems to be losing interest and I'm totally hooked. I go either with him or alone about 3 or 4 times a week. Have fun!!! And welcome.

LOL. That's the risk with kids....it is the best thing they have ever seen/done/heard/eaten/etc; one day....and they have no interest at all the next! Hopfeully my son keeps the fishing interest....I just went out and picked up a coleman canoe for us today!

I went and got a Raddison canoe. If he doesn't feel like going I still have a blast.

welcome to the site

Hi Mike ..... welcome aboard! Lots of great knowledge and folks on this site so I am sure you will enjoy your visits here. I have a similar story to yours in that I was also away from fishing for some time but got back into it after seeing how much fun my son and his buddies were having with it. I must say the addiction picked up where it left off.

I noticed you live in Ma., I am in Milford. Not sure what part of the state you are from but a few of us from the Northeast forum are getting together this Sat at Lake Whitehall in Hopkinton Ma. You and your son are more than welcome to join us. The info is posted in the Northeast Forum if you are interested.

Brain,

Thanks for the invite, I've been reading this post actually! Unfortunately I have to work this weekend and next....figures! I live in Brockton, which isn't a bad spot to hit other areas from pretty easily. Thanks for the welcome. Looking forward to meeting the eastern MA guys one of these days....I consider myself an informational sponge!
