i don't know about vicious but tuff line xp is severely rough and outdated.spend your money on sufix 832 and be done with it.

WHAT? No Fireline recommendation? :D

Fireline like caveman rope....outdated!

I'm just getting to the point that i can accept that Fireline works and is quieter, though breaks too easily on zebes, and dodge has me stopping at the 832 endcap at Gander, LOL. My bud is using 20# 832 on his finesse rig, and loves it. Color is fading fast on it though.

If a person thinks one brand of line over another is going to catch them more and bigger fish, I think that may be an error in judgement. From mono to braid, form low end to high end, I don't think productivity is going to change, boils down to a matter of personal preference. It's only line, give it a shot.

Catt is right when says he fish are caught between the ears, just find the fish, the equipment is secondary.

Uhhh, I think he's just asking if the Viscious line is garbage or not, not whether it will help him catch more, bigger fish. It's just a simple question.

I haven't used either line. Power Pro has served me well over the years. I may try out the 832. I have a couple of friends that swear by the Tuff Line. Line choice is VERY personal. Sometimes you just gotta try it and find out if its the right match for you.

I recently spooled PowerPro on one of my DS rods. I couldn't believe what I was feeling. I got off the water that day and spooled up a second rod with it. Probably gonna do a tube rod with it next.

i know you were asking about Vicious but if you're in the market for braided, Dawai Samorai is the perfect braid. it takes forever to fade and it's super supple/soft yet very strong. Its flouro diameter equivalent is smaller than a lot of other braids. its like someone fused silk with steel!

Both of those lines are as rough as Power Pro. I prefer a smoother/quieter line.

They may work good for you if you are not familiar with using superlines.

Basically those two are the same in constuction and will perform the same.
