Med/mod Spinning Rod

Featured Replies

Looking through my spare rods I came across an Allstar 7ft spinning medium/moderate rod. I have never found a use for this limber rod. Any suggestions? Weightless plastics, shallow cranks, light topwater?

Shallow cranks for the best results. :)

this, shaky head and a weightless worm.....drop shot....lighter spinner baits. just keep in mind that if you use the rod for single hook application you will want to use small gauge hooks.

Thanks for the help. For this limber rod what type line is preferred for shallow cranks and weightless plastic?

Perfect rod for braid.

I love that rod. I've had mine for about 8 years now. Mine is moderate also, but it has decent backbone. Like skunked said, use fine wire hooks and jigheads. Good rod for about any bait to a 1/2 oz. I use 8# xl with mine...

I have 832 15/4 braid on a 6'9 ml/mf spinning rod I use for dropshot and small cranks in lakes and rivers for smallmouth and largemouth it works great.

I used to have a Team All Star M/Mod 7' spinner. It was a great rod for dragging tubes in Lake O. for smallies. The moderate bend kept constant pressure on the erratic fish, and kept the jig pinned.
