What do you guys use? I lost my biggest fish this morning on a strike king 1/4oz swim jig black/blue paired with a black/blue craw. The craw is demolished.

I use Zoom Flukes with the swim tail. They seem to work really well.

I've been wanting to get my hands on some of those, but haven't been able to yet.

Until then, I've been using the Yamamoto Swim Senko's.

I haven't used to many swim jigs but what has worked the best for me is berkley swim baits the non hollow body ones. I thought they were hollow body when I bought them and was some what disappointed when I noticed I bought the wrong thing. I have been cutting there heads off right behind the eyes on it and it is by far the best trailer I have tried yet. The only problem is they keep biting the tails off of them and then they are worthless.

Try the Roboworm ez-shad.

I use ragetail craws and lobsters, usually with the tips dipped in chart. JJ's, and the new Ragetail Grub.

Any twin tail grub will work, but I use Dichoso Custom baits so I can match colors how I want them. One that works very well for me is a SK Blue Shad jig with a smoking blue twin tail.

Yeah those work good to. Gives a good thump, thump, thump like a colorado bladed spinnerbait.

I don't see any reason to "trim" them down. They will work, at least they (sort of) work for me. But, the best trailers for swimjigs are the paddletails like RI Skinny Dippers, 5" Big Hammers, etc.

BTW, the skinny dipper is the best trailer I found for the 1/4 oz SK KVD swimjigs. Don't trim it or anything, just chop off the head of the bait (maybe 0.25") and fish it.
