Wacky Rigged Worm

Featured Replies

I have caught a bunch of fish lately on the ocho and senko wacky rigged what other worms work good for wacky rigs?

Wave worms, Senco's, even Roboworms..

You could wacky rig pretty much any plastic worm, I don't wacky rig anything with a tail though.  For stick baits I prefer either a senko, or salty stick bait.  I find that they fall a little faster than the others.  I also find that senkos tear the easiest wacky, and i've thrown a fair amount right off the hook while casting after catching a fish or 2.  Dingers are more durable, but fall slower.

Try the ***, they last longer than senkos. I also like Net Bait salt licks too. Ditto on the Zoom trick worm.

If you are looking for the ultimate shimmy action on the fall, the 5' Senko will be tough to beat. Criss cross 2 o-rings in the center of the bait and put your hook thru and out of where the rings meet. That way the hook will be 90 deg. to the bait for better hookups and you will get more than 1 fish from each bait.

I use a W-rigged stick worm far more than a T-rigged stick worm.

Problem is, my favorite wacky worm has been a very rocky ride!

Beginning with my first stick worm, and ending with the one I use today:

Yamamoto Senko (fell apart after every bass)

Yum Dinger (Held up better, but my wife was outfishing me with a Tiki Stick)

Wave Worm Tiki Stick

Gambler Ace (Still like them, but the two largest vendors stopped carrying them)

Strike King Ocho (Believe I found a keeper...thanx to KVD)
