  1. I love the Yum Dinger Wacky rigged. Especially for fishing under trees in 2-5 feet of water and exposed root systems. I prefer Green Pumpkin Neon.
  2. wow the title of this thread threw me off. i was gonna ask what i could get for a qp
  3. i never would of thought of that. I might give that a try this weekend.
  4. Anyone been to Lake Enid, MS lately? I am heading down there this weekend, for the first time. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this lake.
  5. I am new to jig fishing also and I decided to try it because of this site, Thanks Guys! I have found that i like the Net Bait Paca Craw more than the Rage Tail bait as a trailer. When the Paca Craw comes to rest the claws float up and look like the natural defensive position f a crawfish. I feel like that is a more natural presentation.
  6. Great info guys. My frog swims straight but I am having problems with it landing upside down and not flipping over, also the lakes i fish do not have a lot of vegetation, so should i use the frog on shallow flats in place of a buzzbait or stick with the buzbait.
  7. well does the lake you fish have blue gill or red ear sunfish? If both, which species is dominant?
  8. The more read this sight the more lower middle class i feel. I am beginning to think I am one of the few people on this forum that doesn't have a six figure salary. Thank you to roadwarrior for sugesting a house brand rod to go with the symmetre in a recent post, that makes me feel a little better.
  9. i brought a digital camera but it was raining off and on so we left it in a waterproof pouch on the 4wheeler. im just glad it turned out and i have a picture.
  10. My father and I went out to a small lake he has permission to fish on out in Moscow, TN. It was about a mile deep into the woods and was a bit of an adventure to get to (we had to ford a small stream pulling the boat with a 4-wheeler). The trip was worth it because it was the best bass fishing I have ever experienced. The owner asked us to keep only fish under three pounds. We caught over a dozen 3#+ including the 5lb10oz in the picture. my biggest fish ever. Forgive the quality the only camera we had was a two year old disposable my dad kept in his tackle box. We ended up taking home 10 1-2# fish. It was incredible i felt like every cast could bring a lunker. I caught all of my fish on a wacky rigged bubblegum lemon swirl yum dinger. Didnt go more than three casts without a hookup. And to think that the owner told us that there wasn't much in there.
  11. I decided to give the swimbait thing a shot so i bought a pack of money minnows. they were cheaper than most others. I am beginning to get frustrated because i cant get them to swim straight. they come in a pack of 4 and i have already ruined 2 hooking it and unhooking it to get it straight. anyone know an easy way to hook these things straight.
  12. im at a junior college now but i will be transferring to Memphis and I dont think they have a club. I cant find anywhere online to find out. I know that just about every other school in Tennessee is registered through College Bass though.
  13. After seeing this post, I thought about trying to start a club at my school but the College Bass website says there is an age limit of 25 to fish the qualifiers and the Championship. Does anyone know if there are exceptions for the age limit. I was in the Navy for 6 years, but now I am out and I am going to college full time. Can anyone help me out here?
  14. the reason you think that is because the guys that do it are keeping it a pretty good secret. i guarantee that every tourny you fish there is someone out there fishing cover they made. I hate to break your illusion but I promise you, it is true.
  15. man, what a steal. Thats like 3 Christmas' come early.
  16. ONLY 5000$!!! Makes you wonder how they can afford to feed the family. Maybe they should call Latrell Sprewell and find out how he makes ends meet.
  17. he didnt make the classic so it very well could have been him. making himself a little green since hes missing out on the big pay day. What does a pro get payed for those appearances anyway?
  18. i keep hearing it so im wondering what kind of O ring are you talking about
  19. i just went to the one in memphis and they had kevin van dam spinners for 3.99. not bad. they also had a giant bin of last years reel models. they were all marked down between 25 and 50 percent. alot of good deals there.
  20. yeah ive tried once. i was with my father in law. it took about fifteen minutes to back down. i made a total fool of myself. i have never beenmore embarrassed.
  21. who uses these combos. you dont even see the pros doing it. i find it hard to believe the market is there for such expensive equipment.
  22. I really enjoy fishing with ultra light equipment. Every fish puts up a fight and I am more accurate with it than I will ever be with a baitcaster. I am joining a club though and I was wondering if there is a place for ultra light tackle in tournament fishing?
  23. by limited i mean that i dont want to go over the 100$ range on any rod and that i laack the budget or the storage space to maintain more than 4 or 5 combos
